Attempt for Project 1: Be inspired by an item you see everyday. I have a great long-handled vintage spoon that I adore (see picture). I wanted to explore the relationship between the spoon and the mouth. It is a vehicle for consumption and nourishment but it can also be involved with gluttony or absent in starvation.My sketches included ideas that I feel depict this relationship; a shovel, large bowl, small bowl, long handle.
